Bill Louwerse, principal of Lang Structural Engineering and senior structural engineer, graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1984, followed by a Master of Engineering degree in 1985.

Following university graduation, Bill joined Lang Engineering in 1985 and has been with the company since that time. He has experience in the design of wood framing, masonry, structural steel, reinforced concrete, and light gauge steel and has been responsible for numerous multi-residential, light industrial, commercial, institutional, and agricultural building projects.

Bill is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Provinces of British Columbia and Alberta, and in the States of Washington, Oregon, and California.

Walter Quiring, principal of Lang Structural Engineering and senior structural engineer, graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1984.

During university summer breaks Walter gained hands-on construction experience as a laborer in residential construction. Following graduation, he developed structural engineering design skills with Tamm Tacy & Associates and with C.Y.Loh & Associates prior to joining Lang Engineering in 1989. He has been involved in numerous multi-residential, commercial, light industrial and institutional projects and has extensive design and construction experience with timber, masonry, structural steel, and reinforced concrete.

Walter is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia.

After initial studies at Kwantlen University College and Trinity Western University, James graduated with a Civil & Structural Engineering Technologist Diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 1999.

Following graduation he worked for several years at Neale Engineering Ltd. and gained design and inspection experience in a variety of residential and commercial projects. After joining Lang Structural Engineering in 2003, he specialized in all aspects of light gauge steel construction and acoustical ceilings, working on numerous projects throughout British Columbia and Alberta. He currently manages the Light Gauge Steel department at Lang Structural Engineering.
